  Doing this through to the server seems very strange to me. Don't forget you can run Javascript in the client through <script> tags in the console. Consider writing a function you can call from the console that modifies your client UI, or check #client-abuse in Slack for examples. (They're working on a redesign for the UI though, so choose carefully how much time you invest.)

  To me the main issue with the market is that it's very difficult to link up buyers and sellers. The only way to express your interest in buying or selling a resource is to create an order. There are two issues here: The limit of 50 orders is totally insufficient. There are 42 resources, so you can't even have 1 buy and 1 sell order for every resource. That's before we even think about multiple rooms (which will be needed, because the market is localised). Orders are subject to a fee as soon as they are created These issues seriously discourage creating prospective market orders. I have some LO to sell, but I'm not going to create an order because I can't afford to waste one that might never be fulfilled. I have no idea if anyone is interested in buying, or if there is, I have no idea what price they would buy at. If I do decide to create a sell order, what price do I start with? How long do I wait before lowering the price? Has it not sold because I'm asking too much or because there are no buyers right now? What amount should I place the initial order for? If I create an order with a small amount to see whether anyone is interested, perhaps no-one will buy because they don't want to waste a terminal cooldown on such a small amount. If I create it with more, I'm wasting more credits if no-one buys or I have to reduce the price. Both issues discourage creating orders in the first place. If I do create an order, the up-front fee with no refunds causes orders to be placed with tiny amounts, even if I have 500,000 resource to sell. This is what slows the market down, and it's particularly bad for less popular resources like middle-tier boosts.

  @tigga exactly, and that is why I also want to introduce the "transferring to the game" mechanic to prevent such pay to win scenarios. By requiring energy to transfer them to the game it would be a ±0 calculation and I'm pretty sure prices will adjust fast accordingly to supply and demand. Besides, your pay to win argument isn't really valid, look at EVE online. When they host the annual tournament people sell massive amounts of PLEX to finance their ships and modules. This has always a positive feedback in the market instead of negativ. (Also a huge boon for CCP Games :- )

  @semperrabbit @Tigga @wtfrank Yes, your view point is totally legit. As SemperRabbit noted it is the the monotonous part that bugs me. While I like optimization problems a bit of variety to spice it up couldn't hurt, like hunting for caravans that offer resources that actually do something. One feeling I get that there isn't a really good power balance between the RCL levels. Also not really much benefit of friendly inter player interaction, that makes me a bit sad.

  I don't expect to get this any time soon nor need it urgently; if I can get this into the devs' backlog it will be good enough. I don't have a very extensive custom UI... yet. RoomVisuals helps so much with understanding what's going on at a glance.

  I must admit this does sound like a nice idea. I don't have auto room code yet, but do have auto room building from a plan I made. Being able to use the same code for both make sense. I don't respawn much on MMO (done it once), but on S+ I keep getting wiped out, if I go in the same room I have to be very careful to pick the same place the plan has for the spawn. So claim the room, code starts running (if there is any), then ifs first to place the spawn wins either manual or code. The only diff from a noobs pov would be having to "claim the room" rather than just navigate to one. But I don't think a "claim" then "place" would be too much extra work.

  @mrfaul Passing selected in a very easy task on top of Screeps-SC, but I must say that processing selection is often overrated. I implemented it at the early game stage then dropped it in a couple of weeks after implementation. But if you really feel you need it, as said, it's not hard to implement it by yourself.

  @orlet Honestly cross linking the game stats and forum profile would be very welcome. It is kinda annoying to build the url yourself every time you want to check on somebody's creeps when he asked for help in the forum.

  @davaned The problem is that renewing with the commander clears all boosts from a creep, so a commander is unlikely to be able to field more than a low-level harass force with renewing. Plus, depending on whether the hallway rooms are powers-enabled, it may need to find power-enabled rooms to pit stop in on the journey.

  visual customizations are already an idea the devs have provided. see "Pixels & decoration" in the 2016 Roadmap. That being said, it hasnt happened for over 2 yrs now and, like power creeps, may be another 2 years yet before we see them. https://blog.screeps.com/2016/08/2016-Roadmap/

  I don't know whether ramparts can go too high, but I feel like there are a few "wrong" arguments being made here. @smokeman said in Ramparts should be weaker than walls and they both need a nerf: Once these ramparts get above a certain level, that room is almost too tough to crack. It's not the total level of ramparts that makes a room too tough to crack, it's the general defences the room has. Above say 20m ramparts, in my opinion, the only difference between defeating 20m and 300m ramparts is cost and time. If you can't defeat a particular player's room that has 300m ramparts, I very much doubt you could defeat the same player with 20m ramparts. I'm not saying that every room is crackable (it might well be the case that some rooms are uncrackable), it's just that ramparts aren't the deciding factor (they or walls are merely the entrance fee to the party). @Shibdib As far as numbers go I think both walls and ramparts max hits needs a look, but RAMPART_HITS_MAX should be a significant amount less than WALL_HITS_MAX. IMO if ramparts were limited to 100m while walls were limited to 300m, there would be negligible difference in whether a room was attackable or not. If you can't defeat the 300m walls room, you can't defeat the 100m ramparts room. @Smokeman the super high wall limit gives the appearance (If built high enough) that the room will be untakeable in many circumstances. There is no real justification to have it this high, If you can only play screeps at weekends because of your high-powered executive job, why not be able to have defences that take at least a week to break through, so that you get a chance to intervene if your active defence code is failing somehow? Regardless, if you build high walls or ramparts you're sacrificing GCL/power so it's not like you're not making sacrifices! @Shibdib do you have any examples of rooms that you think have gone too far and are really good examples of why high ramparts are too bad? If you put several example rooms in your post it would probably be quite helpful.
