      "He was suggesting that the boost should give extra resources rather than mineout the deposit faster." - Did not understand this is what he desired. This would go against the developers wishes, by creating 1 best solution. Currently there's different ways to maximize UO boost some cases would be better than others to use due to repair or other intents. By increasing the output would create 1 best outcome, and no reason not ot use it.

      @geir1983 just looking for @artch to apologize to you guys for attacking Screeps customers and abusing power to try to prevent people from having discourse about it. Did you see the post where he/she threw the community under the bus for the miscommunication regarding the change to generatePixel()?

Since they consume less cores they have a great cool-stuff/core ratio I think ultimately every bot caps out at 300 CPU, any improvements in efficiency in the bot work out to more or less server load based merely on how effectively the 0.2 CPU intent cost maps onto underlying server costs.

      @deft-code Shoutout to https://screeps.com/forum/topic/2646/discussion-more-structures-in-unowned-rooms/1 I definitely feel that more serious investment in unowned rooms would open up a lot of combat options, and make unboosted creeps usable in offense.

      I think there are already a lot of offensive/defensive options which have been left unexplored by players. I honestly don't believe the game is lacking when it comes to the options available in terms of mechanics. Not to mention that power creeps will likely add a radical level of complexity and balancing problems to end game combat. The "stalemate" is not just on regional conflicts but on conflicts in general. The real problem isn't the lack of offensive or defensive options. The real problem is the lack of motivation to fight. The vast majority of the game community has little reason to invest the significant energy required for high level combat. There are a large number of potential military strategies that nobody has bothered to implement. Bonzai had developed some pretty cool tactics in SWW2 and he was just scratching the surface of what could be done. Either competition over space becomes a thing again (I doubt the devs will push for this) or some other reward for combat is made available. I think a separate ranking for warfare would probably provide motivation to many of us to build advanced military tactics.

      pfifo, as long as people use slighly less than their CPU limit *on average* they will always have a mostly full bucket. Being able to burst above that limit is important though.

      I see no issue with raising the price, although I think raising it to $10 first (a 25% increase) would be a better first step.

      The lack of news is almost concerning, but let me take some of my observations and see if you want draw your own conclusions.   Just over 2 weeks ago the world perimeter increased and we've had 12 rooms in that new space come online. Also 2 weeks ago there was a successful post about Screeps on Y Combinator. Currently our tick rates are creep to 4.25s so any new players and the expansion of the new haven't seriously impacted the service. It has been one month since the PixiJS announcement went up on Twitter. 6 weeks ago the hiring post went up.   As well the first financial quarter has just ended and for most businesses that means a lot of work (US Taxes etc) and planning to meet investor goals for the year. There's definitely a lot going on for Screeps that is probably dividing the devs' attention at the moment. I hope that the radio silence is a good thing!

      I advocate for the "Distance Punishment" to be completely removed, not just reduced. There is no benefit in punishing (even in a reduced manner) any segment of the Players. Also, if the Distance Punishment was removed, then "whereas now they just can't buy it if it's more than a certain distance away" would also be alleviated because it would not be based on Distance.
