URGENT: Developers please come back to the community
-
The lack of responses from the admins on a number of issues is causing a crisis of faith with the community.
PTR is broken and has been broken for awhile now -
* http://screeps.com/forum/topic/153/Can-t-respawn-on-PTR
New players are still be screwed by the regional market system -* http://screeps.com/forum/topic/344/Change-of-Market-Api-Transport-Cost-Price-Increment
* http://screeps.com/forum/topic/395/Notes-on-the-Market-and-suggestions-for-improvement
Hard Resets are causing players to drop their subscriptions-
* http://screeps.com/forum/topic/145/Remove-the-hard-reset-system
* http://screeps.com/forum/topic/146/Suggestion-for-hard-timeouts-save-memory-on-ticks-with-a-timeout
* http://screeps.com/forum/topic/152/I-think-it-s-time-to-say-good-by
History is broken (and thus so is the warpath bot)-
* http://screeps.com/forum/topic/177/CPU-timeout-history-and-server-data
Finally, the fact that you are no longer responding to forum threads is costing you players new and old-* http://screeps.com/forum/topic/154/Asking-for-some-open-communication-from-the-devs
All of this is just what we're seeing on the forums, but the Slack network is even more vocal about this. Players are letting their subscriptions lapse and are getting extremely frustrated with this situation.

In addition to the list, there are at least 5 bug reports (created or commented by me) that are neither answered nor fixed by devs for a looong time:
- http://screeps.com/forum/topic/333/Spawning-spawn-attack-bug
- http://screeps.com/forum/topic/324/Market-deal-bug-reducing-amount-by-1-
- http://screeps.com/forum/topic/253/UI-Remove-HOSTILE-construction-sites-does-nothing
- http://screeps.com/forum/topic/314/RoomPosition-getDirectionTo-returns-the-wrong-direction
- http://screeps.com/forum/topic/297/execution-of-actions-bug
Being an active player, I do not post any bugreports anymore, that's the fact.
And my position is: ... it's sad, but it's ok. The game is still too cool as it is now (you did a great job!), I still can play it without communication to devs.
Though, observing the devs' indifference is not a pleasant experience ... that may outweigh the gameplay experience once.
(May a dedicated community manager be the answer?)

Which raises another point- there are a ton of really awesome pull requests that are just sitting there with no movement for months.

It feels like you are exaggerating the situation a bit.
I'm with Neo on this. It is certainly unpleasant that the devs are not actively engaged with the community (they were never very active). However, this is a great game (good job guys) and I'm having a great experience so far.
Indeed, a community manager would make a lot of sense. @Artem, just get a part time obsessed gamer student and work his ass off.

I think you're wrong when you say they were never active. If you look through older threads there were plenty where they actually commented, and it used to be that bug report threads were dealt with much faster.
This is also something that has been coming up quite a bit on Slack. I also cited a bunch of forum threads and had at least five people upvote this thread (some have downvoted as well so that number may be higher), which presumably means they agree.

I'm sorry for giving an impression of absence in community. There were a number of organizational factors and personal circumstances. But there are good news - we're going to relaunch this forum on a new engine (keeping old data of course) and hire a community manager in the next few days. Follow the news, we'll explain it in a blog post soon.

that is great news
