But if you don't want the cost coming from the energy your sending, then how will I transfer 800 energy to an empty link? The 3% has to come from somewhere and from the energy being transfered is the simplest solution. Otherwise they need to add in more checks to work out where the tax is coming from when the majority of players probably don't really care.
So if I have a link with 800 energy and I want to send it to an empty link, I should have to do the math to work out how much I'm allowed to send with the 3% tax? How is that any different from you just adding a check to make sure you don't send to links that are above a specific threshold?
I can't think of any possible circumstance in which I would want to send 1 energy via link.
I don't really see how this is a problem
The cost of the transfer is taken from the energy sent. You can't send more than the link can carry, so that cost will always be missing at the other end.
If you drop below the Room Controller Level required for a building, that building will turn red and cease to function
You have the same resources available that the attackers are sending at you. Creeps You also have the added bonus of hiding in ramparts and using towers to attack the enemy without the possibility of a counter attack.
The resources available to the attacker are limited by his home economy and available boosts, not to mention theĀ logistics of trying to maintain a supply chain and the necessary creeps to defend it would be immense, you'd probably spend more on the chain than the actual attack itself ^.^
How would you attack anyone more than a few rooms away if you also had to send waves of creeps carrying energy?
If your creep has 500 Capacity and 250 energy, you can drop 100, transfer 100, pickup 100 and withdraw 100 all in the same tick.
It says right on the image "When the total energy amount is not enough", at which point drop would override transfer.
Needs to add pickup to the image though
Just make a new property on the prototype?
So your experimenting agrees with the documentation?

Or walking over them without them dying, so the owner can't chase your creeps down as they walk through to a different objective
Just in case some more specific details will help you find any isses, you can see the player I've just killed respawning here

The room to the east (E56S32) has 4696 ticks left on the reservation, which means it would end atĀ 13833063. The zone went novice atĀ 13840939, which you can see here
>https://screeps.com/a/#!/history/E55S35?t=13840939
That's only 7876 ticks (aprox 6.5 hours) after the reservation ran out, or 12,572 (10.5 hours) from when he respawned
I believe Artem was referring to behaviour where people could spawn the old room walls onto peoples armies or in the middle of their empires to wipe them out or cut them in half without the possibility of counter and it was likely people were using a second account to get around losing their own empire.
He said just above that, although it would be rather rude of you, flooding someone's room with 1M creeps is not a bannable offense as you have ways of quite easily countering it.
Completely agree with Artem on this one.
I have to say, for someone who argues vehemently about requiring people to try to help themselves before he offers them help Puciek, you're quick to tout the advantages of newbie walls, which as Artem has pointed out, simply prolong the inevitable for those who haven't put in the effort to do the tutorial and play around with the sim.
Building walls isn't difficult, building a single attack creep isn't overly hard to work out from the documentation and the examples it provides. It does, however, make it a lot easier for those of us trying to path around the map without people spawning walls on us for 20k ticks.
Safe mode also allows new players to venture outside of their room in relative safety before the 20k ticks are over if they so desire, without being an all or nothing 'drop the walls and risk death' that we had on the old system.
Maybe a brief combat tutorial would be helpful for those starting the game and feeling under pressure from the get-go, but there is little threat to them and respawning is always a click away
However, as an alternative solution you could just make it so all hostile creeps in a safe mode room only have 1hp-
then a very basicĀ attack creep would easily be able to wipe them all out.
This would also be a neat idea. Or at least lower it down so new players can remove higher level creeps
Had a chunk of land I just cleared out go novice less than 8k ticks after theĀ reservations dropped from the guy I had removed. It's now unusable for about the next 400k ticks and anyone that spawns there will die once the walls drop
You gain 10 CPU every GCL increase to a maximum of 300 CPU
Each GCL enables you to control one more room. So a GCL5 player can control 5 rooms
Renew is own creeps only and removes their boosts
Works here, using chromeĀ Version 53.0.2785.116 m on windows 10 x64
Someone mentioned this in slack as they were planning to drop to 10 CPU, tested it myself and indeed it doesn't work.
