      Hi @TrickyMouse

      If your discord account is new and fresh, there is bot called warship present that has some antiraid prevention, it looks like your user is so new that the account age flags it.

      You can try and wait untill your discord account is older and then join the server again. I have contacted the other moderators about your issue.

      @likeafox Is this an entirely new user? I think there is a timelimit for entirely new users to prevent raiders/spammers Where you prompted with a "rules" / "welcome" popup you had to accept? You need to accept this to get access at least

      There are different ways to get a private server running, I am on windows so can't really help with linux. But I would suggest joining the official discord and asking in the #servers channel. here is the discord invite link https://t.co/ArI8Svwglx

      I do know there is currently some shenanigans with what python & node versions you need to have installed. and issues with node-gyp compiling is something that happens often.

      The most common suggestion is to use screeps-launcher though

      There is some differences between the official server and the private server.

      This mod is basicly default on most servers and bridges the gap between official servers and private servers https://github.com/ScreepsMods/screepsmod-admin-utils

      node-screeps-api is fairly up to date. as an example here are the memory endpoints

      Another thought is that you are defining what extensions to use when spawning, and you might be using the disabled ones? e.g. https://docs.screeps.com/api/#StructureSpawn.spawnCreep has energyStructures as an array, are you trying to use disabled ones to spawn with?

      @tijnoz As far as I remember, the client renders extensions disabled by distance to the controller I think, I can't remember the details, ags dug around, so that might explain some of it, this issue on the 3D client contains some of the information ags found https://github.com/thmsndk/Screeps3D/issues/176#issuecomment-644314073

      @artch Will arena have a fog of war or full vision in the arena?

      I find the idea of having to scout the enemy important, it also allows you to do "sneaky" things if the opponent does not scout you 🙂

      Depends a lot of the units that are implemented. I'm just thinking of RTS games in general 🙂

      Are you trying to make people not generate pixels?

      I am fairly fond of using Visual Studio Code and rollup/webpack/grunt to push code to the official screeps server. Can we expect to be able to use an external IDE together with something that can push code to the arena challenge?

      I am however very curious about the following

      • Will anything be open source like the private server for the mmo experience?
      • How about third party clients?
        • I would be thrilled to get the 3D client working with arena 🙂
      • Can we see replays of other players?
        • will there be apis for it to support sites such has theese https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Replay_Websites
      • will it be replay only, or can one connect to see "live" matches?
      • Will our steam identity / profile be hidden?

      @zortea you can get the units to display if you set the units=false in the url to true, this requires you to use the web version of the client though 🙂

      I also had trouble clicking a room to access it 😕 double clicking would select the tooltip text instead 🙂

      @artch Yes I restarted steam, as well as the game client, during the beta client, also just tried it with the official client. still can't connect to a private server, not my local one, nor the SWC one 🙂

      Now when I tried the beta, it worked for a while, untill it broke like this, then I swapped back to the official release instead of the beta, the game just updated now, and i'm stuck on this screen for private servers, I can connect to official fine.

      I also had the same issue as @MaZDuR where I have to "drag" the console window up after having minimised it.

      But more importantly, i'm getting the following error when trying to connect to a private server, restarting did not help when I tried the beta. 0_1576860945274_d12894d9-192c-49cd-9535-b3d29a9b4c7b-image.png

      It looks like this update has been pushed to live as well now, so I can't connect to any private server now with the official client

      How much details will we get in the client/websocket about a ruin? Will we know what kind of ruin it is, e.g. was it a wall, was it a tower? It would be interesting in the 3D client to render a different kind of ruin based on what the ruin is a ruin of 🙂

      I can see Ruin details a lot, I hope we recieve it all in the websocket 😄
