RE: Room going from RCL2 to RCL8
> I would really like the devs to clarify, is it their policy to revert player mistakes? How do you decide which requests to fulfill?
The break of RCL2 lasted only 6k tiks (19544756-19550756).
During this time there was no attack so restoring is not affected to anything.
But if it had not restored then the following negative consequences are possible:* Hernanduer is unhappy because he's all thumbs;
* The belligerents are unhappy because they are lost a fair fight;
* Support is unhappy because couldn't help;
* Developers are unhappy because created a button that makes everyone unhappy.Be happy!

RE: Room signs failing to prevent novice zones from appearing
>Â Show me where in the documentation it says that, Sergey.
Let's consider we automate the novice area creating and formalize the documentation of it. Then what additional restriction rules you suggest to add, except:
1. The room is reserved.
2. The room is signed with a message "I'm going to claim this room in a few days." -
RE: Room signs failing to prevent novice zones from appearing
> I’m planning on moving in there this weekend!
tedivm, there are 23 more free rooms signed by you recently that are still remaining in non-novice zones. How exactly do you plan to claim these 23 rooms on this weekend? For example, do you plan to claim the entire area around E38N32 in the next week?
Please understand, signing is just a notice for us, not a restriction. If you want to have some guarantees, please reserve.
If some player or alliance signs the entire map with a message “I’m planning to take over this world very soon” (and it’s technically doable), it won’t stop us from creating novice areas in the game entirely. Your intentions should be not only clear, but also realistic.

RE: Room signs failing to prevent novice zones from appearing
We understand your concerns, but please take note that when we choose a novice zone to open, we don't consider players' global plans involving several sectors for many months in advance, but only the concrete plan of taking some rooms in the coming days or weeks is being considered. Thank you for understanding.

RE: Cleaned out "novice" zone which turned into yet again, a novice zone
There is no connection between a novice zone and the following pause. Currently, new sectors are opened for 25 days, but it doesn't mean they have to remain empty during 25 days. Also, novice zones can embrace rooms with a different history (timers) which can lead to confusion when using them for location.
Solving an issue requires a goal, some objective reason to postpone the second opening. Reservation is a minute thing. You can start preparing plans after the first opening, which gives you more than 18 extra days.

RE: Cleaned out "novice" zone which turned into yet again, a novice zone
Before a novice zone is opened, statistics is analyzed within a 4-7 day timeframe. If you already have the code and plans for the room, it's sufficient to have 100 ticks for reservation.

RE: [Proposal] Increase the size of novice areas
I think that increasing time won't result in better protection for novice players. Many players live with paper walls and even without them for months. At any rate, a new player by no means can prepare within reasonable time against 10+ players unless maybe he's a revived veteran.
Walling the world for 2 months won't save from an alliance as well: a player behind the wall can join the alliance and get reinforcement through a terminal and then cleanse the territory. Besides, a group of players has the same limits that a single player has: GCL and CPU, so "evil" alliances don't get any benefits by cleansing very large territories.
