    • Invaders distribution

      Hey there,

Yesterday was very special with the opening of the new shard which is great but for all shard0 players it was also the day of the grand invasion. From 11AM GMT+1 a wave of invaders fell on us with maximal damage capacity (5 creeps groups almost everywhere).
It's not the first time I notice strange invaders concentrations after a server reset but this time was way beyond.

Now is the calm before the storm, no invaders seen in rooms for hours...when will the next wave arrive?

Could you please check why the invaders distribution is not more stable?

      Thx

    • RE: UI > invisible roads

OK, so it's somehow related to the amount of roads. After a drastic reduction in the number of roads I got back to a normal display in all my rooms

I experience much more timeouts than before the update (4 timeouts yesterday and ~50 since the update).

Also, there are no more invaders since the update

    • UI > invisible roads

      Hi there,

I experience a weird bug slowly spreading within several of my rooms.  Running the web client with Chrome, I do not see any roads while they still exist :

It started in one room about one week ago and is now present in at least 4 rooms : W28S33, W41S43, W34S34 and W35S36. Those are two base room and two SK rooms.
I tried to clean cache and disable all extension but it didn't help.
I also checked if those rooms have more roads than others but it's not the case (ie W23S33 have more roads but the bug is'nt present there)

Other players can see these roads with Chrome.

Do you have any idea on how I can solve this issue?

      Sounds great!
I hope you'll be able to automate the respawn areas creation, it's a big balancing challenge to allow veterans to block some unacceptable locations but also forcing them to accept new neighbors when cleaning whole sectors.
What I was thinking is an automate process where you sign (or add a status as suggested by Dissi) a larger area when available since X days. Then allow players to reserve some rooms during 1 or more days (some couple of days sounds more reasonable to me). After this period, you check manually or automatically if the area is still coherent and mount the walls if this is the case. The amount of reservable rooms may also be limited but this is probably more difficult to implement. The point here is to automate to avoid players criticisms about admin behaviors ( this debate is way too much individualized, we need rules working for everybody) and to create larger areas so even if some rooms were reserved the area can still spawn under some conditions.

      Greatly appreciated feature!

May we go a little further by adding a reclaim period before walls appear? I mean a warning period informing neighbors that this area will become a Respawn area. During this period, each player can reserve some rooms to avoid some usual troubles (next GCL target, usefull path ,...).

I also think, you better have to fully automate, as much as possible, this task so you can provide us with clear guidelines on this process.

    • RE: Interesting novice area

      Hi Artem,

The point of this topic is exactly about players experience. What we observe is slowed expansion for high lev players (as if we needed it) and inappropriate starting point for novices. I agree with Tanjera idea of making a distinction between border novice areas and those within shark's basin. Another color and maybe a limited access to GCL5+ players could improve the experience of both newcomers and installed players.

I myself grew up in such a novice area and had a great experience from that place, so let me be clear I don't want to see all the mechanism disappear but instead add some improvements to players XP. I think my good experience is linked to a good neighborhood and a decent amount of implication from myself. The second point is obvious, If you want to grow in sush place you have to make it fast. The first point is more important in the mechanism I have in mind. You could for example define Rookie areas only accessible to GCL5+ if neighborhood is mainly composed of GCL10+.

At the time when I grew up my neighborhood was composed with ~1-2 months players so I had a chance to make a place for myself. Now, the novice areas spawning around don't let any chance to survive for novice players surrounded by GCL10+ players, they don't have neither time nor space to grow.

The idea to add a second level of such areas is to allow access to players who respawn after a war and to improve their ability to find a decent place to do so. For those experienced players, spawning in a border area is a slow grow option and spawning in an inner area is more a challenge about expansion and diplomacy.

We also noticed the decrease in time for the appearance of these areas, could you at least increase this time to allow us to expand. I recently expanded to a new sector, took one room and as soon as this room reached RCL7 (which was fast thanks to the war treasure) I got a novice area spawned just next of this room forcing me to wait 14 days before remote harvesting...as mentioned above, my POV is we don't need more time frustration in this game where warfare expansion is already so slow. (Also, I know I better had to reserve those surrounding rooms but with <RCL7 room spawning time is quite limited)

      Therefore, in summary :

      - Border novice areas as usual

      - Inner novice areas as usual but only in acceptable neighborhoods (1-2 months players sectors)

      - Deep inner rookie areas only accessible to GCL5+ players (within sectors controlled by GCL10+ players) + reduced spawning time

The point here is to decrease frustration of both old and new players facing these areas.

Thanks for your reactivity, It's really appreciated to be able to discuss such topic with you!

    • All Room stats views on map

If possible, could you add some new views in the map. It would be great If we can view all rooms stats in the popup shown when the mouse is over a room. Something like  "All rooms stats (1h/24h/7d)" showing the RCL icon on the map but with all stats in the popup.
