private server using https

Hi,
I run my developing server using a .dev domain .. and it looks like there is no way to connect to private server using https.
It would be nice if you could add a checkbox for that .. since .dev domains have forced HSTS I can only connect using ip for now

I know it's an old request, but https support for connecting to private servers would still be nice .)
