    • Error Launching Server

      I've tried launching the server from the CLI and from the GUI in game but keep getting errors like

      Cannot find module 'D:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Screeps\server\modules\driver-local\lib\index'

      I've changed the directory names to match what it is looking for but I still get a whole bunch of errors. I'm doing this on Windows, should it just be plug and play for the server or do I need to dive into the code?

      Not super happy with the roads decaying either. Between that and the source keepers randomly deciding to work again, my motivation is getting kinda shot to keep playing. I was having fun until I logged on one morning and saw that all the keepers were now in the middle of my bases killing everyone. From that point I've not really recovered, the roads decaying is just kind of a kick to the nuts when I'm already down haha.

      Try looking at what happened to him as an opportunity to take a good room and expand more in that direction as opposed to closer to my home. I'm willing to tell my guys not to attack yours and we can live in harmony, so long as you don't militarize your main room so I don't feel threatened. Both of us have other things we want to worry about aside from building up a massive defensive barrier right there.

    • API

      I would love to be able to interact with the Screeps API via my own POST requests. I attempted to do so just barely but found that there are security measures in place to prevent me from doing so. I can think of a bunch of useful applications I could use if I was able to authenticate and have access to that though.

      Has anyone figured out a way to get a hash of all rooms adjacent to a certain room? Or to check the distance between two rooms?

      I've got 7 rooms and am usually at about 244 but it spikes frequently past 300. When you say you cached the paths and find results, what do you mean?

      This is a really general question and I don't know what kind of answer I'm expecting, but does anyone have any tips for CPU optimization? I'm finding myself not wanting to expand just because my CPU is almost maxed out as is.

      I think they should make a 24 hour respawn timer. That'd keep people from being able to "Spawn Spam" you. I had a player do the same thing to me last week and I was furious.
