Announce Server Maintenance


  • It's quite annoying when making some hot changes using the ingame code editor and SUDDENLY the server is gone for having a nice maintenance. 

    I think a global announcements maybe 5 minutes before pulling the cord should be possible. Simply use the console. A count down timer would be great.

  • Well yes, there should be a warning beforehand.

    But still, I highly suggest you to edit code off the game (Visual Studio, NetBeans, even Notepad++ works).

    But after doing the fun work in the dev environment it's time for running and OOPS there are a lot of bugs. Many of them are small, fixable quite quick and not uncommonly revealing the next one. Those hot fixes are often done best using the ingame editor.
