Code editor and non-ASCII characters

Text entry caret is not placed correctly, when some non-ASCII characters are present on the line.

Reported upstream several times already.
There's a patch in the work here:

Support variable-width text

But seems like things are stuck on the handling of wrapped text.

i got the same problem but there are with just ASCII i don't have non ASCII on any line still same problem.
