    • RE: claimController not attacking downgrade timer of opponent controller

I see this topic is 4 yrs old, but I just recently ran into this while trying to takeover my first new room. The link to the changelog is no longer valid in Dissi's post.

Is there somewhere that this is documented?? This was super frustrating trying to figure out the difference between 'attackController' and 'claimController'.

Also the game popped up this tip which makes no mention of the 5 CLAIM parts rule. This tip appears to no longer be true? 0_1576692847701_WrongTip.png

From what I can tell the current behavior is: If controller is unowned, then use claimController If controller is owned, then you may use attackController (but only once every 1000 ticks).

    • The repair command returned OK, but repair never happened.

I regained control of a room that I had lost due to controller downgrade timeout. After regaining the room there were several construction sites from when I had owned the room before.

      Problems:

      • A builder was able to build a 'constructed wall' at controller level 1 (from an old construction site).
      • the builder then repaired the wall, which returned OK, but the repair never happened. This left the builder standing there until he died. (Yes, he had energy and was within range).

      Possible Solutions:

      • construction of a previously placed construction site should fail if the RCL isn't high enough?
      • AND/OR, the repair command should at least return an ERR_CODE so that my creep can move on to a different task.
