When closing Screeps in Steam it keeps running

Hi,
recently when i try to close Screeps in Steam it keeps running for some reason (Win 7, 64-bit).
Because of this it's not possible to restart the game (Steam-Message pops up: Game is already running). Also checked the Task Manager, Screeps isn'r runing as application or task.
Steam also can't be closed because of it.
One workaround is to close the Steam-task via Task Manager and restart it again.

I've been having the same issue. I switched to using Chrome until it's fixed, because restarting Steam to restart Screeps was becoming a hassle.

I've noticed that the problem is connected to having an open browser tab with screeps.com.
The screeps.com website is identified by steam as an active session of the screeps game.
Close all screeps related tabs and you should be able to restart screeps successfully.
