Endless saving

Does anyone know a trick to get around the 'saving forever' issue?
perhaps 3-4 times a day I get where saving scripts or even memory just rainbow bars at the top non-stop.
It takes 20-30 minutes of me waiting and going back into the game before I can save changes.
This is a big issue sometimes as Ill make a change, get an error and it hits, which causes me to just watch my screeps stop moving and all slowly die off as I can't fix it to do anything about it.I've tried logging out and back in, clearing chrome cache, staying logged out a few minutes and retry..nothing seems to help with it.
A friend that plays hasnt had this happen yet, perhaps its something to do with logging in via github? As that is the only difference in our account setups that I know of.
