@jestdotty sim is an approximation of the server running locally in your browser, so no, ivm in sim will very likely never be a thing.
you should move your testing to a private server, check out https://github.com/screepers/screeps-launcher and #servers on the discord will be helpful if you run into any trouble setting it up
