Trouble installing on Raspberry Pi(s)


  • Hello, I have failed with installation of private server on both rpi1 and rpi3. I always get stuck during installation of isolated-vm. rpi1 gets stuck during compilation of holder.o and rpi3 a little bit later - three_phase_task.o rpi1 really gets stuck, needs rebooting, rpi3 probably launches some "kill" - after half an hour installation fails "properly" - reports tjat program cc1plus gets killed

    node.js version 8.11.3

    Any help appreciated.


  • I probably had the same problem on my rpi3. The output said virtual memory exhausted: Cannot allocate memory

    So I increased the swapfile size as described here: https://www.bitpi.co/2015/02/11/how-to-change-raspberry-pis-swapfile-size-on-rasbian/ and the installation worked as expected.
