@PostCrafter, just so were on the same page, people are infrastructure and you can hire twice as many if you charge $16 a month. The point im trying to make here is that the cheaper your service is, the lower your quality is. And it shows here in this game.

RE: Remove the hard reset system
I ran into this issue in a game i was developing with spidermonkey as the users scripting back end. there isnt a good way to handle misbehaving scripts, all you can do with the API is set a hard limit of time until the script is killed. screeps is maiking the best they can with it by setting up a softlimit and bucket system. But inless the backend changes to allow interruptions and resumes, what can they do?
if the hard reset is removed, then a single while loop could block the entire system until someone pulls the power

RE: Suggestion to Improve Tick Times (Timeout Reduction - 500 CPU Limit Change)
Except that that CPU comes out of their bucket and if the error dosent correct itself, then they become one of the least CPU intensive players until they read their email

RE: Concerned About High Tick Times - Requesting Additional Server Resources
As a new player, im coming in and seeing this $8 price tag and a horrible laggy service. while $8 a month is a great price... when you sit down and think about it... It is about a great of a price as the $8 240 piece tool set at princess auto/harbour freight that is always on sale at the front of the store. I mean you KNOW why it only cost $8... its cause they just want to sell it, but you also know its the biggest piece of chinesium clad garbage around and its likely to break the first time you use it.
Yes that is how I see screeps, it refuses charge people enough to give them a quality service, and hopes to just sell as many $8 subscriptions as they can until it comes apart at the seams. The entire cloud is chinesium plated shit.
Solution, raise the price so you can afford better infrastructure for the people who WANT to play... while driving away the people who dont want to play so their resources can be better put to use.

RE: Allow towers to do more than repair and attack
I second this idea, the noobs will fall even harder and much lulz will be had.

RE: dedicated server doesnt run scripts properly
I have a very similiar issue, the server only partially runs my scripts and at some random point will just stop processing altogether, I get no warnings on the console, no CPU overages, and nothing on th CLI. My server isnt overloaded. It takes a few game ticks before everything clears up, it will run scripts for a bit and then start over again.
I am running on a OrangePi One with an allwinner ARM CPU, quadcore 1.2 ghz with 512MB ram.
I installed Node.js 7.10
Later, if this dosent clear up, i will try on my cloud VPS which has a standard hardware setup.

RE: Better Simulation Errors.
What do you mean you cant? I dont believe that for a second. If the server is capable of producing linted error output and stack traces then it is possible to produce linted output and stack traces for anything in javascript. Sure it might not be as trivial as clicking a tick box in some settings somewhere, but damn it, were all programmers here, and if we really "cant" do this then humanity is lost.
What has to happen to get it in the steam version?

RE: Please give us access to random name generator for creeps
I made something a bit different; fast, compact and can generate 1600 unique names.

RE: Are sources under Source Keeper worth fighting for?
The only problem im seeing here, is that these rooms that are loaded with source keepers, seem to be missing controllers. I havent looked at tons of these rooms, but it seems to me that these rooms are forced neutral.
