  This would be a nice addition. On the subject of invader spawning, it would be nice to be able to spawn invaders in a room that I had reserved as well as one I had owned. Unless there is a good reason not too, that I cant think of.

  How about the TTL penatly is removed on claimers? It's going to be really hard to make an outpost when you're limited to a 5-7 room radius around the portal.

  @dissi Yes, that's why there's a timer on the despawning so that if the player has an ally capable of rebuilding them, they can be rebuilt. Note that all that is needed to delay the timer is 1 progress on any spawn construction site for the player.

  On the one hand I really like the idea, on the other I think the return on investment and opportunity costs are too high. A feature like this will take tremendous amounts of time to design, implement and balance. The trade-off is what else could be done with that time (power creeps ) and what that would gain. I think while this is fun, the costs to design it are disproportionate to what it gives back the players. Then again, it would really contribute to the "end game" - I can imagine a point where your code nears 'completion', and this would throw in a reason to stick around. It's a trade off and I don't really know what my choice would be.

  Actually it is worth noting that this likely would cause accounts to have to be recognized by a unique number instead of their name, but it would make at least me very happy.

  @SteveTrov is that what happens currently when you press the "<" button to go back 1 tick? I figured negative tick speed could just do whatever that button does but at a regular interval. Anyway its not a huge deal.

  @mrfaul Yes that is how it works, but there is also a roomCallback or routeCallback depending on which function you use so that you can do things like tell the pathfinder to avoid certain rooms or to prefer highway rooms and things like that. I know WHY my creeps are getting stuck, i'm just asking for a way to solve that problem in my code, and not have to manually type out room names for dozens and dozens of rooms when there is a novice/respawn area. Manually adding flags to 60 rooms is not a fun solution either, and will still need to be redone every time you spawn into a new respawn zone. As a side note it would be nice if the max value of the maxRooms option was increased. The longer purple arrow in that picture i shared goes through more than 16 rooms which means no path can be found. I'll have to do some kind of multi stage pathing to get that far for now but it would be cool if the maxRooms option could go higher instead. If using Game.map.findRoute to only allow rooms along the optimal room path it doesn't use an unreasonable amount of CPU to path that far considering the distance.

  I think the unintended "feature" of temple rooms adds to the game. It is a challenge to program so you don't have to micromanage it, and it is always a tradeoff between using the GCL for a productive room vs a temple room.

  That would be very complex to manage: how, as a player can I know how long my subscription will last ? What if server are updated in-between and tick rate goes from 3s to 2s ? Also, computing multi-shards would be even more complex to understand (esp. if you use allowed cpu or number of rooms per shard in computations).

  I'm not sure what you mean MrFaul/Tigga, an estimation of the average tick rate is already available in the shard selection menu. I'm suggesting stats like energy mined within the last 1k, 10k, and 100k ticks. This way when you get a feel for your normal rates, say 40k energy mined in a room within the last 1k ticks, you can update your code and clearly see the impact, even if there were shard speed fluctuations at the time.

  To be honest I don't like the lifetime reduction myself, but I haven't found another way in my thought experiments without making it to op. You still need to be able to counter a bomb and adding 900 ticks to the "keep it alive" Paradigma is imo to harsh on the defending party. All other ideas are way to complicated to be fun and would add significant development time.
